Description

3-Bromobenzanthrone is a monolayer enhancer that is hydrophilic and water-soluble. It has been shown to enhance the activity of sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) in the treatment of animals with nitrobenzene poisoning. 3-Bromobenzanthrone was also shown to increase plasma concentrations of glutamate and chloride, which may be due to its ability to bind to plasma proteins. This compound has been found to cause fluorescence properties in a model system, which may be due to its ability to bind with chloride ions. 3-Bromobenzanthrone can also react with carbonyl groups in environmental pollution, leading to structural analysis.
