- 1H-Pyrazolo[3,4-c]pyridine, 3-bromo-
3-Bromo-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-c]pyridine is a pyridine that can be synthesized by the deacetylation of 3-bromopyrazole. The reaction process involves the use of potassium carbonate and copper as catalysts in the presence of methoxyl and acetyl groups. The addition of sodium methoxide to a solution containing 3-bromopyrazole produces 3-bromo-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-c]pyridine. The final step in this process is the hydrolysis of pyrazole with hydrochloric acid. This produces pyrazole hydrochloride and reacts with nitrite to produce aniline.
