Description

4,4'-Bis(2-disulfonic acid styryl)biphenyl (bis-SSAB) is a fluorescent molecule that is used as a probe in chemical analysis. It reacts with a wide range of substrates and has been used to study the properties of detergents and the chemical composition of particles. Bis-SSAB can be used for tracing sodium ions in water by measuring light emission. The particle size distribution can be measured using this fluorescent dye by observing the changes in light absorption spectra. This dye also has reactive properties that can lead to the formation of anhydrous sodium, sodium carbonate, and picolinic acid.
