Butyl9-hydroxyfluorene-9-carboxylate is a growth regulator that belongs to the group of nitro compounds. It is used as an agrochemical, especially for the control of invasive weeds in rice fields. Butyl9-hydroxyfluorene-9-carboxylate is degraded by acid formation, which prevents its accumulation in the environment.
