Description

2-Butyl-1H-imidazole-4-carbaldehyde is a synthetic, medicinal compound that is used in the synthesis of other medicines. It has acidic properties and can be synthesized from thiazolo and sulfur. 2-Butyl-1H-imidazole-4-carbaldehyde can also be prepared by hydrogenolysis of ampicillin or thiourea. This chemical is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits bacterial growth by inhibiting DNA synthesis. The spectrum of this chemical includes Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
