Product Information

Name:
4-Bromo-3-ethoxy-5-methylisoxazole
Synonyms:
  • Isoxazole, 4-bromo-3-ethoxy-5-methyl-
Description:

4-Bromo-3-ethoxy-5-methylisoxazole is an analogue of 4-bromo-3-ethoxycarbonylmethylisoxazole. It can be synthesized by the transmetallation of benzoyl chloride with vinylic chloride followed by a coupling reaction with an arylboronic acid. The yields are high and the reaction is not sensitive to air or moisture. This compound has been shown to undergo Suzuki coupling reactions in addition to palladium catalysed couplings with arylboronic acids.
