The structure of this domain consists of a hydroxyl group in the 2 position and a thiophene ring attached to the 3 position. There are two amino acids in the sequence, which are serine and glycine. Hl60 cells are used to study this domain because they are cardiac myocytes. Quillaja saponaria is used as a chemokine inhibitor in cell culture studies. Saponins have been shown to have antiinflammatory effects on ventricular myocytes by inhibiting chemokines that lead to inflammatory diseases.br>br
