Product Information

Name:
5-Bromo-4-fluoro-1H-indazole
Description:

5-Bromo-4-fluoro-1H-indazole is a chemical intermediate that can be used to synthesize 3-fluoro-2-methylaniline. It belongs to the class of bromination products and can be obtained by the bromination of 4,5-dichloroindazole with NBS as a reagent. 5BFOI can be synthesized in large quantities on a large scale by reacting 3-fluoroaniline with an excess of sodium nitrite in ethanol or acetone at room temperature. The deprotection reaction is performed using hydrochloric acid in methanol or acetic acid in methanol at room temperature. The synthesis method for 5BFOI is outlined below:

STEP 1: Synthesize 4,5-dichloroindazole

STEP 2: React with NBS to produce 5BFOI
