Product Information
Tert-Butyl 4-(4-bromo-3,5-dimethylphenoxy)piperidine-1-carboxylate is a chemical compound with the formula (CHBrO)C(CO)NH. It has been used as an antimycotic and antifungal agent. This drug exhibits its activity by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, which is necessary for the formation of the cell membrane in fungi. Tert-Butyl 4-(4-bromo-3,5-dimethylphenoxy)piperidine-1-carboxylate inhibits ergosterol synthesis by reversibly binding to cytochrome P450 and forming an adduct with a reactive thiol group on this enzyme. The alkyl groups in tert butyl 4-(4 bromo 3,5 dimethylphenoxy)piperidine 1 carboxylate are responsible for its anti fungal properties.
