4-Bromo-2-ethylaniline hydrochloride (4BEA) is a drug transporter that is used to transport drugs across the blood brain barrier. It is also an inhibitor of tyrosine kinase, which plays a role in neurotransmitter synthesis and regulation. 4BEA has been shown to inhibit the uptake of monoamines in cells by binding to the transporter protein and preventing it from transporting the monoamines into the cell. 4BEA has also been shown to inhibit brigatinib, which blocks the activity of proteins that play a role in cellular metabolism and growth. The inhibition of these proteins prevents cancer cells from proliferating, leading to decreased tumour size or complete remission. This drug has been shown to have a low risk for interactions with other drugs because it does not interact with any known drug transporters.
