Description:
1-Bromo-2,3,4,5,6-pentamethylbenzene is an ethylene diamine that has a phenoxy group. It can be synthesized by the reaction of palladium complexes with nitrogen atoms and trifluoroacetic acid. The product can also be obtained by reacting halides and activated hydrogen. The catalyst used is amide or chelate ligand. 1-Bromo-2,3,4,5,6-pentamethylbenzene is used in the synthesis of amide esters from aryl chlorides. This process is based on the transfer mechanism of chloride ions to hydrogen bromide in the presence of copper metal catalysts.
