Benzyl octyl adipate is a non-ionic, non-gelling, carboxylic acid type of detergent additive that is effective in stabilizing polymer particles. It has been shown to be effective as a viscosity stabilizer and can also be used as a dispersant in water. Benzyl octyl adipate is soluble in water and may be used to prepare liquid detergents or fabric washing agents. This product has been found to be an effective stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins and has also been shown to provide good stabilization of polycarboxylic acids such as citric acid.
