Description:
4-(6-Bromopyridin-2-yl)benzaldehyde is an antibacterial agent that belongs to the group of imidazole derivatives. It has been shown to inhibit gram-negative bacteria by binding to their surface and blocking their ability to take up nutrients. 4-(6-Bromopyridin-2-yl)benzaldehyde also inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β, IL-6, or TNFα. This compound has been shown to have a linear correlation with the fluorescence intensity of cells and has a microenvironment effect on the solvents used in cell culture.
