Description:

3-Bromoisocyanatobenzene is an orthorhombic molecule that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. It has been shown to induce apoptosis in tumor cells and also to have anti-angiogenic properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the activation of tyrosine kinase receptors. 3-Bromoisocyanatobenzene also inhibits the activity of protein kinase C and other enzymes involved in cellular signaling pathways. 3-Bromoisocyanatobenzene is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone and has a low energy with a nanomolar range.
