Product Information
- BisdiptolylphosphinobinaphthylSTolBI
- 1,1'-Binaphthalene-2,2'-Diylbis[Bis(4-Methylphenyl)Phosphane]
- (S)-(-)-TolBINAP
(S)-2,2'-Bis[bis(4-methylphenyl)phosphino]-1,1'-binaphthyl is a phosphine ligand that is used in catalytic asymmetric synthesis. It is prepared by the reaction of 4-bromo-N,N-dimethylaniline with bis(dichlorodiphenylphosphino)methane and palladium tetrakis (triphenylphosphine). The ligand has been shown to be effective in the allylation of aldehydes and the asymmetric synthesis of organic compounds.
