Bux Emulsion is a mixture of chemicals that have been used to control pests on crops, such as agrochemicals and pesticides. It is a broad-spectrum insecticide with a low mammalian toxicity. The active ingredients are carbaryl, ethylene diamine, tetronic acid, and gamma-aminobutyric acid. The mixture has been shown to be effective in the treatment of prostate cancer cells in vitro. The mechanism of action is not well understood but may involve ryanodine receptors, which are calcium channels found on the surface of muscle cells. Bux Emulsion also has an inhibitory effect on fatty acid synthesis.
