Product Information

Name:
1-Bromo-2-ethyl-4-methoxybenzene
Description:

1-Bromo-2-ethyl-4-methoxybenzene is an intermediate in the synthesis of peptide receptor agonists. It has been shown to be a potent modulator of the glucagon receptor, which stimulates the release of insulin from pancreatic beta cells. 1-Bromo-2-ethyl-4-methoxybenzene has also been shown to have anti diabetic effects. This compound decreases blood glucose levels by binding to and activating peptide receptors that are present on the surface of cells in the pancreas. The activation of these receptors leads to increased insulin production, which regulates blood sugar levels. 1-Bromo-2-Ethyl 4 Methoxybenzene is a boronate ester and can react with butyllithium to form borates.
