6,7-Bis-(d3)-methoxy-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline (N-1) is a compound that has been used to study the photophysical properties of molecules. It can be synthesized by demethylation and allylation of 6,7-bis-(d3)-methoxy-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline (N). This compound has two methoxy groups on the benzene ring. The chemical reactions are carried out in the presence of phosphotungstic acid and hydrochloric acid. The structural analysis was done by using halides.
