Description:

3-Bromocyclohexene is a monomer that can be used in the synthesis of fatty acids and their esters. It can also be used as a cross-coupler for organic syntheses, such as the preparation of enantiopure compounds. 3-Bromocyclohexene reacts with butyric acid to form (E)-3-bromocyclohexanol, which is then reacted with phosphorus pentachloride to form (E)-3-chlorocyclohexanecarboxylic acid.
