Product Information
Benzene-13C6 is a synthetic molecule that has been identified as a possible cause of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Benzene-13C6 is the deuterated form of benzene and has been shown to be carcinogenic in humans. It's also thought to inhibit DNA synthesis, leading to inhibition of cell division. The aromatic hydrocarbon is found in high concentrations in the blood of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and it can inhibit red blood cell production by binding to DNA. This molecule also inhibits platelet formation, which may lead to thrombocytopenia. Annulenes are not flammable, while benzene-13C6 is combustible.
