Description:

3-Bromophenyl acetate is a biphenyl that has been shown to inhibit Cox-2, which is an enzyme responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins. This inhibition leads to decreased inflammation. 3-Bromophenyl acetate has been shown to be active against cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. It has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and inhibit the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-6, TNFα, and IL-1β. 3-Bromophenyl acetate has been shown to have a coxib inhibitory effect on Cox-1 and Cox-2 enzymes, which are involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins.
