Description:
1-(4-Bromophenyl)adamantane is a divalent, polyvinyl compound that is used as a ligand in zirconium complexes. It has been shown to be highly reactive with lithium metal and other solvents. This compound can react with styrene to form ring-opening products and can also undergo cyclopentadienylation. The fluorescence of 1-(4-bromophenyl)adamantane, due to its phenyl substituents, makes it useful for detection purposes.
