Description

N,N-Bis(phenylcarbamoylmethyl)dimethylammonium chloride is a bronchodilator that belongs to the class of carbamates. This drug is administered by nebulization and has been shown to be effective in the treatment of chronic cough. The mechanism of action for this drug is not fully understood, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit hydrochloric acid production in the stomach. N,N-Bis(phenylcarbamoylmethyl)dimethylammonium chloride also inhibits fatty alcohols and 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid levels in the blood. It also has an effect on citric endpoints and may be used as a pharmaceutical agent for the relief of coughs caused by respiratory disorders.
