Product Information
- p-Bis(2-chloroethoxy)benzene1,4-Bis(2-chloroethoxy)-benzene
1,4-Bis(2-chloroethoxy)benzene is a phenolic compound that has been shown to be cytotoxic against tumor cell lines in vitro. It also induces peroxisome proliferation in rat primary hepatocytes. The biological properties of 1,4-bis(2-chloroethoxy)benzene have been investigated in the presence of an ionic liquid, and it has been found to inhibit g1 phase of the cell cycle and promote chloride efflux. It also inhibits mcf-7 cells and is used for the treatment of cancer by inducing apoptosis. In addition, 1,4-bis(2-chloroethoxy)benzene is effective against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma cells by inhibiting protein synthesis. This chemical is also effective against rat primary hepatocytes and induces apoptosis through catalysis with sodium hypochlorite.
