2-(R)-[1-(S)-(3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)ethoxy]-3-(S)-fluorophenylmorpholine is a drug that inhibits epoxide hydrolase. It has shown to be effective in vivo, as it decreased the concentration of soluble epoxides in blood and brain tissue. This drug also has an enzyme inhibitory constant of 2.0 μM. The active site of the enzyme is located at the interface between two domains and contains a chalcone molecule that can be optimized for binding by rationalizing parameters such as hydrogen bond donor, hydrogen bond acceptor, and proton donor/acceptor.
