Description:
N-Boc-1-chloromethyl-1,2-dihydro-3H-benzo[e]indole is a functional derivative of the naphthalene group. It is a nitroreductase inhibitor that has been shown to be cytotoxic in cancer cells. N-Boc-1-chloromethyl-1,2-dihydro-3H-benzo[e]indole has also been shown to have antiangiogenic and antimetastatic effects due to its ability to inhibit vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) production and proliferation. This compound has not yet been tested for toxicity in humans.
