  • 1-(2-Bromoethoxy)-4-Nitro-Benzene
Description:

Dofetilide is a class III antiarrhythmic agent that belongs to the group of benzofurans. It acts by blocking potassium channels, which slows the heart rate and causes the heart to contract more forcefully. Dofetilide has been shown to increase the reaction temperature of 2-bromoethyl-4-nitrophenyl ether (2BEPN) by 10 degrees Celsius at pH 7.5 and 25 degrees Celsius at pH 5.0. However, it does not affect the reaction of 4-nitrophenol with 2BEPN at pH 7.5 or 25 degrees Celsius at pH 5.0
