Description

Bromperidol is an antipsychotic drug that is used to treat schizophrenia. It blocks the effects of dopamine on the brain and may also have some effect on serotonin. Bromperidol is a low-potency drug with a long half-life, which makes it useful for continuous treatment. Bromperidol has been shown to be effective in treating Parkinson's disease and other symptoms of Parkinsonism. Bromperidol has also been used as an analytical reagent in immunoassays, such as the plate test and human serum assay.
