Product Information
- 3-[[(1,1-Dimethylethyl)dimethylsilyl]oxy]pentanedioic acid diethyl ester
3-[(tert-Butyldimethylsilyl)oxy]pentanedioic acid diethyl ester is a vinyl compound that is used as a nucleoside analog. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo. 3-[(tert-Butyldimethylsilyl)oxy]pentanedioic acid diethyl ester also exhibits antitumor activity against acute leukemia and other types of tumors. This agent binds to DNA with high affinity, inhibiting DNA synthesis by topoisomerases. The vinyl groups in 3-[(tert-Butyldimethylsilyl)oxy]pentanedioic acid diethyl ester are not substituted, which may allow for more flexibility in binding to the DNA backbone than aryl analogues.
