Bifenazate is an insecticide that belongs to the group of diazinon-type compounds. It acts by interfering with the detoxification enzymes of insects. Bifenazate is a white powder with a melting point of 159°C. It has shown low toxicity in animal studies and high resistance to decomposition in soil. The compound also has synergistic effects when used as a pesticide in combination with other materials, such as kidney bean or pyrethrum.
