Description:
4-Benzyloxycarbonyl-2-piperazinone is a benzyl ester that is synthesized from piperazine. Piperazine reacts with hydrochloric acid and sodium hydride to produce the desired product. The reaction mixture is then heated to yield the desired 4-benzyloxycarbonyl-2-piperazinone.
