6-Boc-3,6-diazabicyclo[3.1.1]heptane (DBH) is a nicotinic agonist that binds to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the central and peripheral nervous systems. It has been shown to have high affinity for these receptors, with selectivity for nicotinic over muscarinic receptors. DBH has been shown to have nootropic effects in animal models and also to have an analgesic effect on nerve cells. DBH may be useful in treating disorders such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and depression.
