Description:

N,N'-Bis-(2-chloroethyl)-urea is a molecule that inhibits the activity of the enzyme carmustine. It binds to the active site of ns3 protease and prevents it from cleaving other proteins. N,N'-Bis-(2-chloroethyl)-urea has been shown to have synergic effects with other chemotherapeutic agents. Its pharmacokinetic properties have been studied in detail and found to be stable in blood plasma, urine samples, and rat liver microsomes. N,N'-Bis-(2-chloroethyl)-urea is an analytical method for detecting dinucleotide phosphate in biological samples.
