Description

4-Bromo-2,6-dimethylanisole is a chromophore with an electron affinity for electrons. It has been shown to enhance the binding of adenosine to its receptor and also inhibits the binding of adenosine to its receptor, which may be due to conformational changes in the receptor. 4-Bromo-2,6-dimethylanisole is synthesized from pyrrole and bromine. It is used as a synthetic compound in research on adenosine receptors. This compound has been shown to have affinity for the A3 receptor and cause conformational changes in this protein.
