Description:

2-tert-Butyl-4-ethylphenol is a formaldehyde derivative that has been used as an antifreeze, solvent, and chemical intermediate. It is also an antioxidant that is used in the production of polymers, plastics, and synthetic rubber. 2-tert-Butyl-4-ethylphenol has been shown to have anti-ferromagnetic properties due to its ability to produce strong coupling between electron spins.
