Product Information

Name:
Benzoyl Trifluoromethanesulfonate
Description:

Benzoyl trifluoromethanesulfonate is an anticancer compound that reacts with benzoate to form the corresponding benzoyl chloride. The reaction of benzoyl trifluoromethanesulfonate with acylating agents, such as chloroacetic acid or chloroformic acid, leads to the formation of reactive intermediates that undergo nucleophilic substitution reactions. Benzoyl trifluoromethanesulfonate has been used as a reactive intermediate in bioconjugation chemistry for the modification of proteins and peptides. It has also been shown to be a more efficient method for the synthesis of naphthalene derivatives.
