Description:
N-Boc-L-alpha-phenylglycinol is an industrial chemical that is used in the synthesis of sulfide. It has cytotoxic and reagent properties, and is used in the synthesis of ammonium salts. N-Boc-L-alpha-phenylglycinol reacts with polysulfide to produce a reactive polysulfide compound, which can be used as a catalyst for organic reactions. The solvents required for this reaction are dichloromethane and chloroform. N-Boc-L-alpha-phenylglycinol is soluble in ether but insoluble in water.
