3-Bromo-6-methoxy-2-picoline is a deprotonating agent that can be used to generate chiral bromides. It is stable in the presence of UV radiation and has been shown to have acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitory activity. 3-Bromo-6-methoxy-2-picoline has also been shown to have crystallographic data and parameters that are useful for biomolecular modeling.
