1-Boc-4-methylaminopiperidine is a triazine compound that has been shown to inhibit the function of the CCR5 receptor. It is being investigated for its potential use in cancer therapy. 1-Boc-4-methylaminopiperidine has been shown to be orally active and, when administered chronically, inhibits tumor growth in mice by inhibiting cancer cell proliferation and migration. This drug targets the CCR5 receptor on the surface of white blood cells that are involved in chronic inflammation and HIV infection. 1-Boc-4-methylaminopiperidine also shows pharmacokinetic properties that make it suitable for oral administration. The drug is metabolized by esterases, glucuronidases, or cytochrome P450 enzymes into inactive forms, which are eliminated through urine or bile.
