Description:

2-Buthylimidazole is an organometallic compound that is used as a pharmacological agent. It has the ability to form methyl ketones with nucleophilic substitutions, which can be used in the synthesis of pyrazoles and chalcones. 2-Buthylimidazole also has the ability to form formylated compounds from aldehydes and alcohols, which are useful for deprotecting and systolic properties. The introduction of imidazoles by 2-butylimidazole can be achieved through the formation of imidazoles with chalcones or imidazoles with amines. 2-Buthylimidazole has been found to inhibit angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) and to lower diastolic pressure in animals.
