Description

Boc-His(Dnp)-OH is a labile amino acid that belongs to the group of pyridine ring compounds. It is an ester of piperidine and amino acids with a nitro group. Boc-His(Dnp)-OH has been synthesized by solid-phase synthesis and purified by liquid chromatography. This compound is soluble in organic solvents, but decomposes in water or alkali. Boc-His(Dnp)-OH has been used as a building block for the synthesis of peptides, nucleotides, and other heterocycles. The compound also has been shown to inhibit chromosomal DNA replication in vitro.
