Description:

1-Bromo-2-(trifluoromethoxy)benzene is a reactive intermediate in organic chemistry. It is used to synthesize cycloadducts from the ring-opening of zinc halides and trialkylfurans. 1-Bromo-2-(trifluoromethoxy)benzene can be used as an eliminator for acidic groups, such as carboxylic acid derivatives, in the presence of lithium diisopropylamide (LDA). It has also been used to synthesize brominated derivatives by reacting with lithium dibenzylideneacetone.
