Description:

Bismuth aluminate is a high-temperature chinese herb that has been used to treat bowel disease. It is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula BiO3Al2O3, which is also known as bismuth aluminate or ferroelectric bismuth aluminate. Bismuth aluminate is an excellent adsorbent for heavy metals and organic compounds, including pharmaceutical preparations. It has been shown to be effective against inflammatory bowel disease in rats by reducing the number of colonic ulcers and suppressing the production of inflammatory mediators such as proinflammatory cytokines and nitric oxide.
