Description:
2-Bromo-4-fluorotoluene is a boronic acid that can be used for the synthesis of biphenyl derivatives. It is synthesized from 2-bromo-4-fluorotoluene and 4-carboxyphenylboronic acid in a catalytic cycle. This reagent can be reused and has been shown to catalyze arylbromide cycles and phenylboronic acid catalytic cycles. The crystalline product of this reaction was obtained with a yield of 95%.
