Bis(3-amiNopheNyl)-3,5-di(trifluoromethyl)pheNylphosphiNe oxide is a copolymer that has been shown to be resistant to radiation and chloride. The polymer chain consists of alternating amide and hydroxy groups, which are crosslinked by the presence of a uv-sensitive chloride group. Bis(3-amiNopheNyl)-3,5-di(trifluoromethyl)pheNylphosphiNe oxide is soluble in organic solvents such as benzene and chloroform. The copolymer has an average molecular weight of about 10,000 daltons with a polydispersity index of 1.2. It also has a viscosity of about 0.1 Pa·s at 25°C and a melting point of 105°C.
