Description

2-Benzothiazolylthio)butanedioic acid is a corrosion inhibitor that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of epoxy resins. It has been shown to interact with the epoxy resin and increase its resistance to corrosion. The time-dependent nature of this interaction is also important. 2-Benzothiazolylthio)butanedioic acid can also be used as a corrosion inhibitor for metal coatings, such as nickel and chromium, due to its strong interaction with these metals. This chemical can be applied in two ways: as an additive or by coating onto the surface.
