Description:

Bis(vinylsulfonyl)methane is a vinylsulfone-based photoinitiator. It has been used as a cross-linking agent to prepare thermoreversible polymers with hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties. Bis(vinylsulfonyl)methane has also been used in the synthesis of chondroitin sulfate, which is a major glycosaminoglycan found in cartilage. Bis(vinylsulfonyl)methane is a chemical compound that can be used as a photocatalyst. It absorbs light at wavelengths below 300 nanometers and converts it into heat energy, which can be used to initiate polymerization reactions.
