Description

(R)-(1-Boc-pyrrolidin-3-yl)-acetic acid is a potent, selective inhibitor of the tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) family. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. TRKs are tyrosine kinases that play a role in the development and progression of cancer. This compound selectively inhibits TRKs, which may account for its selectivity profile. The structure of this compound is similar to other compounds used as radiotracers for imaging purposes. It has been suggested that it could be used as a radiotracer for imaging cancers that express tropomyosin receptors such as prostate cancer or breast cancer.
