5-Bromo-2,3-dihydroxypyridine is a dihydropyridine compound that belongs to the class of compounds known as pyridines. It is an attenuating agent and has been shown to have a inhibitory effect on cancer cells by affecting the synthesis of DNA and RNA. 5-Bromo-2,3-dihydroxypyridine can be used as a chemoenzymatic tool for the synthesis of caffeic acid.
