Product Information
- N-Boc-D-cysteine
Boc-D-Cys-OH is a synthetic molecule that is a conformationally constrained analog of the natural substrate, angiotensin I. This compound is an inhibitor of angiotensin-converting enzyme and has been shown to have antihypertensive activity in animal models. Boc-D-Cys-OH has been synthesized by the cross-coupling reaction between bromoacetylbenzene and 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine, followed by hydrolysis with HCl and acidic methanol.
